The Elijiah House Ministry

Elijah House was founded with the mandate to restore the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers (Malachi 4:5-6). This is being accomplished by equipping the saints with biblical tools founded upon universal laws in the Word of God, to enable discernment of root issues and allow true healing.

These scriptural and universal laws are as follows:
  • Honor your father and mother...that your days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with you (Deuteronomy 5:16)
  • Do not judge, lest you be judged (Matthew 7:1-2)
  • Whatever a man sows, this he will also reap (Galatians 6:7-8)

  • Elijah House prayer ministry was founded through the pioneering work of John and Paula Sandford. It is primarily pastoral in nature, based on scriptural principles and led by the Holy Spirit. Prayer ministry at Elijah House will always include looking for the root causes that lie beneath the surface of most problems. "Bitter roots, as we call them, feed patterns in us that lead to broken relationships, habitual sin, and many other kinds of "bad fruit." Once roots are discovered, the prayer minister leads the person in prayer at the foot of the Cross, to forgive those who wounded him/her, as well as to receive forgiveness for judgments and other strongholds his heart has formed. Each year, many individuals and families come from around the world to receive prayer ministry.

My Dream Journal

I am struggling with lack of vision - what to push forward in Christ for - eternal life of course, but on this earth I mean. What is it that I am supposed to do? Me particularly.

Evening Rainbow.

In the corner is the actual photo taken the night we saw the rainbow. It was a very strange, yet breath taking view of the outdoors that evening. Everything was orange. I have never seen anything like it, ever. I had just come from a prayer meeting and the pastor had asked us a question - "If you could ask God one things, what would it be?". I said, "I want to know if I am where I should be. Am I in the right ministries, am I in the right job, etc." So on my way home this wonderous night, a storm had passed and rainbow was out and these words softly, quietly, came to me. "You do all things well."What this meant to me was that I am where I am supposed to be. I don't know the future, but for now, it is well.

Paved

I was driving home thinking about art projects and this picture idea. I was thinking about how a lot of we do and even think about is because of those who have gone before us. We have to then go farther and think about how our life will affect the future generations.

The family took a fun day and went to Miller Park Zoo. We had so much fun and stayed there for over four hours! My husband made it fun. He was pointing out all the details to our son.
